Volvo is gearing up to boost its electric product line in India. To dominate the growing segment, the company is all set to launch the EX30 Electric SUV. Ahead of the official release, the model has been spied during the testing phase, and has revealed a lot of details about the design and features.
The upcoming electric SUV has already made its global debut last year. It has been positioned a step below EX40 and the EC40 Recharge, allowing the customers to have a cutting-edge product at a decent price range. It is likely to be the company’s most affordable model in the electric lineup in India.
What To Expect?
According to the spy shots, the model was seen with heavy camouflage, barely flaunting small details and cosmetic enhancements. However, the EV somehow looks aggressive and bold while rolling on the street.
The customers can expect a blanked-off grille with Thor’s Hammer LED DRLs at the front, complemented by a signature style headlight setup. The rear gets split LED taillights with a connecting light bar.
Other Notable Highlights
The car was seen running on the EV-specific aero-optimised wheels, which make it look more stylish and futuristic. The reports suggested that the Volvo EX30 might reach to the Indian market via the CBU way. Later, the maker might take the local route, which is expected to drop the price further and make it more competitive in the segment.
Battery Options
Under the hood, EX30 will be offerd in two battery options: 51 kWh and 69 kWh. The former will offer a decent range up to 344 km, while later will be capable of offering 480 km (WLTP cycle). There will be single-motor version that will churn out a maximum power of 268 BHP and 343 Nm, while the dual-motor version will produce 422 BHP and 543 Nm.
