From long-running franchises like Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest to the spellbinding Kingdom Hearts series, and even underrated gems like Forspoken, Square Enix’s RPGs have captured my heart. Now, for Black Friday, you can get up to 85% off some of the very best games the studio ever developed or published.
A massive 173 titles from Square Enix are on sale right now, with some of the best PC games and best RPG games among them. Whether you’ve been considering playing the Final Fantasy 7 remake before Rebirth launches on PC or attempting to understand the bizarre world of Kingdom Hearts, there’s sure to be something for you in this sale.
Our Final Fantasy 7 remake review waxes lyrical about the port being “A well-judged modern adaptation of one of gaming’s all-time great adventures,” while our Nier: Automata review calls the experience “an intelligent, bombastic game that’s in turns frenetic and tender while deviating from cliche at every opportunity.”
I’m a huge Kingdom Hearts fan, so it’s no surprise that I recommend you pick up the Integrum Masterpiece collection, which compiles all the mainline entries in one excellent bundle – I thought it was a good deal even at full price. Alternatively, you can’t lose with Final Fantasy 7 Remake or Final Fantasy 16. I’d also like to recommend Forspoken because, while it does have its issues, I think that game is criminally underrated.
If you’re not feeling up to some lengthy RPGs, there are plenty of other Square Enix-published titles going for cheap, from Sleeping Dogs and Life is Strange to Just Cause and Powerwash Simulator.
You don’t have long, however, as many of these deals will end on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM GMT.
