Skoda is testing an updated version of its Kushaq SUV in India. The new model was seen on the road, covered in heavy camouflage. While it keeps the same overall design, it will come with some visible changes.
These include minor updates to the exterior, improved interior features, and a new automatic gearbox. The refreshed Kushaq is set to bring a fresh feel to the compact SUV market.
Skoda Kushaq Facelift: Know All About The Exterior, Interior, and Powertrain
The updated Skoda Kushaq retains its recognisable silhouette but receives a refreshed and more contemporary design with the facelift. Reports suggest the front bumper has been reshaped for a sharper, more dynamic look, featuring an angular air dam and an all-black honeycomb mesh grille. The headlamps have also been subtly redesigned, adding to the SUV’s sleeker front profile.
At the rear, the Kushaq now sports slimmer, boomerang-shaped LED tail lamps connected by a sleek LED light bar, giving it a broader and more upscale appearance. The alloy wheels are expected to come with a new blacked-out finish, while both front and rear bumpers have been restyled to complement the overall sportier aesthetic.
Inside, while the core layout is likely to remain unchanged, Skoda is expected to elevate the cabin experience with new trim accents, upgraded upholstery options, and enhanced ambient lighting. These updates aim to make the Kushaq’s interior feel more premium and comfortable for occupants.
One of the major highlights could be the addition of a Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), as per NDTV. This system may include modern safety and convenience features such as lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic emergency braking.
These upgrades aim to boost Kushaq’s appeal, especially among buyers looking for a tech-rich and safer driving experience in the compact SUV segment.
The Skoda Kushaq facelift is expected to keep the same engine options with minor updates. It will offer a 1.0-litre TSI (114 hp, 175 Nm) with a 6-speed manual or a new 8-speed automatic gearbox for improved fuel efficiency. The 1.5-litre TSI will continue with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DSG automatic. As per reports, the updated Kushaq is likely to launch in India by late 2025 or early 2026.
