Once fully developed, NIA will be able to accommodate 70 million passengers per year.
Noida International Airport (NIA) has partnered with Mahindra Logistics Mobility to offer passengers a premium, all-electric taxi service.
The service will run a fleet of 100 percent electric vehicles, providing a comfortable, eco-friendly ride for travellers. Passengers can enjoy hassle-free pickup and drop-off right at the arrival and departure kerbs, making it easier to get to and from the airport.
Available 24/7, this collaboration guarantees a seamless and sustainable travel experience. Passengers can book rides through a dedicated mobile app, website, call centre, airline partnerships, and airport kiosks, ensuring booking is simple and accessible for all.
Christoph Schnellmann, CEO of NIA, shared his excitement about the new service, saying, “We are excited to partner with Mahindra Logistics Mobility to offer a premium, all-electric taxi service, to provide a seamless and environment-friendly ride directly from the airport to your destination.”
The service will focus on safety and efficiency, with drivers receiving extensive training on airport protocols and customer service. Real-time adjustments will be made based on passenger demand and flight schedules, reducing wait times and enhancing service availability. A feedback system will be in place to ensure ongoing improvements to the service.
This partnership aligns with NIA’s commitment to sustainability, featuring an all-electric fleet that supports the airport’s vision for an environmentally responsible future.
NIA’s first phase, with one runway and terminal, will cater to 12 million passengers annually, with plans to expand and serve 70 million passengers once all development phases are complete.
