The Maharashtra government has been taking serious steps to make travel more secure and better for those using the aggregator cab facility. After seeing the sudden surge of complaints of cancelling the ride, price surge, and lack of safety by Ola, Uber, and Rapido, the government launched the Aggregator Cabs Policy 2025.

Under the new policy, the passengers will now be compensated if the drivers on these applications cancel the ride. The decision has been shaped by Supreme Court directives, and the committee, which was led by retired IAS officer Sudhir Kumar Srivastava.

All About New Aggregator Cabs Policy 2025

The newly launched policy will allow the women passengers to feel more safe and secure while choosing the cab or rapido facilities at night. The initiative includes the rules like women-only ride-sharing, making them feel more secure and comfortable.

According to the rule, poorly maintained vehicles will be eliminated, and the drivers will get a minimum fare satisfaction rating of 80 percent.

Apart from this, it is also advice for the aggregators to open local offices, give proper training to the drivers, making them aware not to use customers’ personal data on any circumstances.

When it comes to the notable key changes include emergency buttons, real-time GPS tracking, background checks of drivers, and police verification.
