Half the fun of life sims is living out the everyday moments with your carefully crafted characters, be it exploring, traveling, or even vacationing. And it looks like the upcoming update for Inzoi is going to give your Zois even more freedom to do the above, by introducing a new feature that will allow them to go on vacation to a new Stardew Valley style island getaway. And there’s even better news, there’s going to be farming.
It was already clear that Inzoi is a must-play for fans of simulation games. But with these new exciting features incoming, it looks like it’s set to potentially become one of the best life games available. Hungjun ‘Kjun’ Kim, the Inzoi game director, has revealed that players will soon be able to have their Zois briefly travel between the new island of Cahaya and Dowon or Bliss Bay, no matter where they’re living.
Players will also be able to take full advantage of those vacation vibes with a new swimming feature being introduced, amid updates to make Zoi’s personalities and preferences more pronounced and the core gameplay clearer and more engaging.
The introduction of Cahaya seems to still be the main focus of the anticipated August update, and I couldn’t be more excited about it. Kjun says in his most recent update that Cahaya is designed to be an escape, adding that it would be a “peaceful holiday retreat where players can unwind and relax.”
Ken previously covered how Cahaya would introduce a more Stardew Valley like twist to the gameplay in Inzoi, with farming, relaxing, boating, and exploring uninhabited locales core to the experience on this island getaway. It’ll be interesting to see how these late-summer changes will hold up against some of our best games like Stardew Valley.
The latest from Inzoi comes weeks after they delayed their next modding update. Their first such update launched earlier this year, allowing players to create custom outfits and furniture, but you will need to wait a bit longer for the next one, as it’s now slated for an October release. Cahaya will be part of the free Inzoi August update.
