The Royal Enfield Bullet 350 remains one of the most iconic and beloved motorcycles in India. It’s a fact that this classic machine has held a special place in the hearts of riders for decades. While its design has seen updates over the years, the overall silhouette of the Bullet has largely remained the same, perhaps one of the key reasons why its charm endures even today.
Royal Enfield continues to modernise its motorcycles with new features, helping to sustain its popularity across generations. However, these enhancements have also led to a noticeable rise in its price. At present, the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 is priced between Rs 1,50,795 and Rs 1,65,715 (ex-showroom), with the on-road price hovering around Rs 1.8 lakh.
Recently, a bill for a Royal Enfield Bullet 350 purchased in 1986 has gone viral on social media, leaving many astonished at the stark difference in price. According to the bill, the on-road price of the motorcycle at the time was just Rs 18,700, a mere fraction of today’s cost. The bill, now making the rounds online, comes from Sandeep Auto in Jharkhand and is nearly 37 years old.
It’s worth noting that the Royal Enfield Bullet was introduced in 1986 as the Enfield Bullet, and has since built a reputation as one of the most dependable motorcycles in India. It holds the distinction of being the longest-running model in the Royal Enfield lineup.
Today, the Bullet is available in two variants, the Bullet 350 and the Bullet 350 ES. The current model has a kerb weight of 191 kg, is available in six colours, and offers a fuel efficiency of around 37 km per litre, according to the company.
