Creamy Cranberry Salsa Dip
Prep Time: 10 minutes Total Time: 10 minutes Servings: 6
A creamy cheese dip with a fresh cranberry and jalapeno salsa!
ingredients
- 12 ounces cranberries
- 4 green onions, sliced (or 1/4 cup red onions, diced)
- 1 jalapeno, stem and seeds removed and diced
- 1 lime, juice and zest
- 2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped (optional)
- 8 ounces cream cheese (warmed)
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 3+ tablespoons sugar (or honey) (or to taste)*
- salt to taste
directions
- Pulse the cranberries, green onions, jalapeno, lime juice and zest, and cilantro in a food processor until it forms small particles but not so much that it turns to a liquid.
- Whip the cream cheese, sour cream and sugar until smooth and creamy before mixing in the cranberry mixture.
- Mix in the sugar followed by salt to taste and enjoy!
Note: I like a hint of sweetness to balance the tartness of the cranberries and mild head of the jalapeno, but you can add more to make it a sweet dip or you can omit it for a completely savoury dip!
