Barbacoa Ground Beef

All of the flavours of slow roasted barbacoa beef in a quick and easy ground beef form!
ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 chipotle chilies in adobo sauce, chopped (or to taste)
- 4 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 cup beef broth (or beer or water)
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (or lime juice)
- salt to taste
directions
- Cook the beef and onion in a large skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it apart as it cooks, before draining off any excess grease.
- Add the chipotle chilies in adobo sauce, garlic, cumin, oregano, cloves, broth, vinegar, and salt, mix well, bring to a simmer and cook until most of the liquid has cooked off.
Option: Add a splash of soy sauce (gluten-free for gluten-free).
