The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released the tender for Team India’s new jersey sponsor, which is expected to be finalised within the next 15–20 days, BCCI Vice-President and Member of Parliament, Rajeev Shukla, said.

“The tender process has been released. I think it will be finalised in 15–20 days. We have to award it by the 16th,” Shukla told the media in Singapore on the sidelines of CREDAI NATCON.

The new sponsorship is expected to run until the 2028 cycle.

Fantasy sports platform Dream11, which had signed a three-year, ₹358-crore deal with BCCI in 2023, exited the contract midway after the government banned real-money gaming earlier this year. Prior to Dream11, BYJU’S and Sahara had also served as prominent jersey sponsors for the Indian cricket team.

On the recent GST rate hike on gaming and entertainment from 28 per cent to 40 per cent, Shukla said the IPL continues to attract large audiences and clarified that BCCI fully complies with tax regulations.

“BCCI pays income tax like a corporate company. It also pays GST. There is a misconception that BCCI does not pay tax, but that is wrong. BCCI pays tax like any other corporate entity,” he said.
