Mahindra BE 6, the first India-made electric SUV, debuted at the London E-prix circuit showcasing its dynamic capabilities and global aspirations.

Mahindra recently achieved a significant milestone as Mahindra BE 6, a born-electric SUV from the company’s upcoming BE series, made its public dynamic debut. But it was not just an ordinary one, as it became the first India-made electric SUV to scale the London E-prix circuit. Taking to Instagram, the company shared a series of pictures of the BE6 running on the track. The post caption reads, “Yes! That’s the Mahindra #BE6 unleashing its Unlimit Performance at the London Formula E E-prix in collaboration with #MahindraRacing.”
According to HT Auto, the company’s decision to unveil the BE6 at the London E-Prix is more than just a design statement; it also suggests worldwide aspiration. The hot lap exhibition not only demonstrated the SUV’s dynamic capabilities, but it also established Mahindra as a serious player in the international market.
Mahindra BE6 Specifications and Features
The Mahindra BE6 comes with two battery packs as options: 59 kWh and 79 kWh. The smaller battery pack claims to offer a peak power and torque output of 227 horsepower and 380 Nm, while the 79 kWh battery promises 281 hp.
Notably, Mahindra says that the BE 6 can reach a distance of up to 535 km when equipped with its 59 kWh battery pack, while the 79 kWh variant is claimed to have a range of 682 km.
Furthermore, the all-electric SUV has multiple driving modes, including Boost Mode, which offers a thrilling driving experience. In addition to this, the BE 6 Pack Two models have superfast charging technology, which allows for a 20 to 80 per cent battery recharge in just 20 minutes when using fast DC chargers.
Mahindra BE6 Pricing and Colour Variants
The Mahindra BE6 e-SUV comes in 8 different colour options: Everest White, Stealth Black, Desert Myst, Deep Forest, Tango Red, Firestorm Orange, Napoli Black, and Desert Myst Satin. Additionally, there are also satin versions of Everest White and Desert Myst available.
Mahindra BE 6 debuted in India in November 2024. The Mahindra BE 6 is priced between Rs 19.40 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 27.65 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the versions or packs. The Mahindra BE 6 is built on skateboard architecture and is intended to serve as the foundation for the company’s new electric cars.
